Get happy tip: Don’t try to be happy

In this blog, I go on and on about the importance of creating a strategy for happiness. But if you want to be successful in your search for this elusive prize, there’s one thing you might want to keep in mind: happiness isn’t the method. It isn’t the means. It is just the result. The method–the strategy–is the important thing. And the strategy has nothing to do with your feelings.

It only has to do with your actions.

So. My happiness tip of the day is a very simple one: don’t try to be happy. Make your life better.

Happiness will come pretty quickly after that.

  1. How true! I have trouble *not* commenting on your good advice. Many of us can do more to help ourselves in daily life, rather than just concentrate on the negatives. The exception would be those who need professional help.
